About Us

Crothers Tire is a family owned and operated business located in Whitinsville Mass. The shop was originally located on Church St. in Whitinsville where Unibank is now located and was a Gulf gasoline full service station. Fredrick (Red) Crothers and Phillip Manning originally started the business, then separating when the business moved to Linwood Ave. The shop was called C&M Tire, standing for Crothers & Manning. In 1978 Thomas Crothers Sr. took the family business over and changed the name to Crothers Tire Company. Since then, Tom Sr. and sons Tom Jr. and Jim currently manage the shop with two other full time mechanics and one part time. Also involved in the family business is Joann Crothers, the mother of Tom Jr and Jim, as she does the book keeping and payroll. Crothers Tire Co, Inc. has been serving Worcester County and the surrounding communities for 3 generations and looking forward to many more!
